Will I see my drawing before my appointment?
I do not send pictures of drawings before the appointment unless I have any questions about the design. You will be able to see your design the day of the tattoo appointment. I always plan to have 15-20 minutes before the tattoo for any design adjustments.
Are my tattoos unique?
All our tattoos, with the exception of flash designs, are singularly created for each client and are never tattooed twice. It’s essential for us that your tattoo is one of a kind and tailored for you. We always take everything into consideration when creating an art piece so that the shape of the drawing will fit specifically for the shape and placement chosen, as well as choosing colors that work well with your skin tone, regardless of which. The objective is to not only create a tattoo that will fit YOUR body but also look good overtime and age beautifully. For this, and many other reasons, we are a custom design shop (with the exception of tattoo flash).
Is your process vegan and/or biodegradable?
Only vegan friendly materials are used during our tattoo procedure. We also take pride in offering 90% completely biodegradable materials during the procedure. We are working our way into 100% very soon - and with your support, we can hopefully make that happen soon.
The materials used, whether they are vegan and/or biodegradable, have been carefully selected. They work exactly like plastic and have the same (sometimes even better) quality/sanitation during the tattoo process.
Is your process latex free?
Yes, Ritual and Craft provides an environment that is as latex-free as possible for employees and customers. No latex gloves or latex equipment shall be used. Only Latex-free and powder-free gloves will be used on premises, sterile or non-sterile.
What is your deposit policy?
The deposit comes off the total cost of your tattoo. If your tattoo requires multiple sessions, it will come off the cost of the last session.
All deposits are non-refundable.
Deposits are not transferable to other people.
Deposits are only good for the design that was discussed. If you change your mind before your appointment, you must leave a new deposit for the different design.
What is your cancelation policy?
If you have to reschedule, you must do so 5 days before the day of your appointment; otherwise, you will lose your deposit and must leave a new deposit to book a new appointment.
What if I’m late?
If you are running late for your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible. Arriving more than 30 minutes late to your appointment will result in that time being added to the cost of your tattoo at our artist’s hourly rate.

How do I take care of my fresh tattoo?
Aftercare instructions can be found here.
Can I work out after getting tattooed?
We highly recommend that you do not work out for at least 5 days after getting tattooed. Sweating is not good for your tattoo and can lighten and decrease the crispness of the tattoo. Also, gyms and yoga studios are full of bacteria that can cause staph infections in open wounds. IF YOU MUST WORKOUT, stick to light cardio or targeted exercises that don’t use the part of your body where the tattoo is located, and most importantly make sure to wash the tattoo after you sweat.
Can I bring a friend with me?
You can bring one other person with you to your appointment. Be sure to let them know that they will be bored out of their mind waiting for you to finish your tattoo.
What if I need a touch up?
90% of the time touch ups are not needed except for hands, feet and joints. These areas often require at least one touch up. The first touch up on any tattoo is free, after that we may charge a small fee. Touchups are not required, but always available for clients.
